One of my biggest fears is that my future kid will not like to read.

Yup, and as a librarian I feel that the pressure is even bigger. My future kid MUST like books or else I have failed :(

For some reason I don’t think it would bother me if my child doesn’t take an interest in reading. I mean I would like them to and I want to share my love of reading with them but if it’s not their thing then I’m okay with that.

^ I agree. Some people just don’t like reading or find it difficult or have other things they prefer to do and that’s perfectly okay :-)

I remember how much her realization that she was “never going to be good enough for him” resonated with me when I first watched this movie. She decided to push herself, not to be with him, but to prove him the fuck wrong.

Strong female role models who can still wear pink and love fashion. Yes yes yes.

I FUCKING LOVE THIS MOVIE OH MY GODDDDDDDDDD

CAN WE JUST STOP FOR A SEC THO?

HE’S INSULTING HER FOR BEING DUMB

SHE GOT INTO THAT SCHOOL ON HER OWN.

WARNER NEEDED HIS DADDY TO CALL THEM TO BE ABLE TO GET IN.

I LOVE THIS MOVIE NO ONE EVEN UNDERSTANDS.

I’m fairly positive that this movie taught me that it’s okay to be very feminine and love pink and be super fucking smart and take zero shit from dumbass boys.

YEAH PEOPLE UNDERSTAND

you know what’s dumb
the concept of treating adolescents like children throughout the entirety of their teenage years and then at around age 17 pulling a complete 180 and expecting them to decide within the next couple years what they want to do with the rest of their lives

you put it in words
